As the sunrises in the East it brings life to these Baja Mountains and Sage in the West and for a moment the colors are a dramatic wash of warm ochres, dusty pinks and rich orange-greens, bringing on a new day. This painting is about that drama of light and color that happens at dawn in the desert, starting a new day with an applause that only one person can hear.
