Transition

Painted as the late afternoon rapidly transitioned into sunset, I marveled at the changing light, shadow and lulling effect of the surf reflecting on the transitions I have made this past year...and feeling optimistic about the future. The dark blue of the pacific this day just took my breath away and in contrast to the warms of the cliffs and dramatic shadow...was what I choose as my design motif for this painting.
